Start at least 2–3 months before your intended travel. Gathering documents that show your ties to the Philippines — employment, business, property, family — takes time, and rushed applications show.

Commonly: certificate of employment with approved leave, business registration, land titles, bank statements showing regular income, and evidence of family members remaining in the Philippines. Every situation differs.

Support from family in Australia can form part of your application, usually with an invitation letter and evidence of their status and capacity. You generally still need to show your own ties to home.

A previous refusal doesn't automatically prevent future applications, but repeating the same application usually repeats the result. Understanding the refusal reasons and addressing them matters — this is worth a consultation.
